Elon Musk, the high-profile chief executive officer of Tesla and SpaceX has said he was temporarily locked out of his Twitter account due to hacking concerns.
In a tweet late on Monday, Elon Musk said: “Twitter thought I got hacked & locked my account haha”.

The particular tweet came nearly eight hours after the celebrated technologist professed his love for anime. “And I own a chibi Wolverine,” he added. The tweets aren’t what one would normally associate with a billionaire businessman and might explain Twitter’s move to block his account, albeit temporarily.

Worth an estimated $19.5 billion, Musk is known for his unpredictable behaviour on the social media platform this year. In early August, Musk wrote on Twitter that he was considering taking Tesla private in a tweet that has personally cost him $20 million to settle a US government lawsuit that alleged him of misleading investors.
Tesla is also to “pre-approve any such written information that contain, or reasonably could contain, information material to Tesla or its stockholders,” a requirement from the charges of fraud by the Securities and Exchange Commission added.
